Microsoft a New "Adversary" for Symantec

Symantec, a US$5 billion company and the fourth largest software company in the world, is aiming high. It wants to be a US$10 billion by 2010.But looks like the new rivals Microsoft is all set to bring it down from being a US$5 Billion company. Thompson, Symantec CEO, knows that if Microsoft is successful in leveraging Vista to cut Symantec out of the Windows security market, then Symantec can forget about being a US$10 billion company. It will have trouble staying a US$5 billion company.
